sylviaonthehighway SYLVIAONTHEHIGHWAY is a project created by Sylvia Johnson, a guitarist, drummer, and the founder of Delicate Records. Her first "canon" release, sylviaonthehighway, the (unfinished) e.p. (2022) was self-released in October 2022 while she was hard at work with the Tonegaurds. Later that year, she released the now out-of-print compilation album sylviaonthehighway 2019-2021 (The Other Catalogue) (2022) which contained all of the music she made before the aforementioned unfinished EP. In 2023, she built up a wealth of original material too heavy for the Toneguards, and eventually recorded and released Hiding Away (2024) on Delicate Records. Currently she is focusing on Type III.
